Who we are

RentMelder is run by Joao Bruno Caldeira, based in the Netherlands. Questions about your data? Email [email protected].

What we store

Your email address, your password (stored encrypted, we can't read it), your search settings (budget, size, type of home), and, if you connect Telegram, your Telegram chat ID. If you subscribe, payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Why we store it

Only to run the service: to match new rental listings to your search and send them to you. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who else handles your data

We use a few trusted services to run RentMelder: Cloudflare (secure connection to the website), Google (sending emails, and web fonts), Telegram (alerts, if you choose Telegram) and Stripe (payments, if you subscribe).

Cookies

We only use cookies that are needed for the site to work, like keeping you logged in. No tracking or advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. If you want your account and data deleted, email us and we'll delete everything within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data at any time by emailing us. If you think we handle your data incorrectly, you can file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
